Service Trips

Join us this coming summer for the trip of a lifetime. Every summer, USACF brings 15 volunteers to South Africa and Zimbabwe to see some of the wonders of Africa and to work for 5 days in some of their primary and secondary schools. Travelers get to view the magic of Victoria Falls, walk among lions and watch the sun set over the Zambezi River. In their schools, volunteers have a wide range of choices of activities. They can teach a subject close to their heart, reorganize a library or fix a broken desk. One of their volunteers played a fiddle and taught square dancing, another gave knitting lessons. Volunteers have ranged in age from 11 to 75. Meaningful work can be found for everyone regardless of one’s skill level. Families welcome!

Supporting students, teachers, and schools at the grassroots level is a core tenet of USACF’s mission.
